hawaii went too quick. i wish i was still there. i ended up getting about two hours to myself on the beach the entire time i was there. my runners did great and were so appreciative of my coaching. next year, i'm definitely planning to stay longer after the marathon. i did manage to make some progress on some christmas gifts on the plane and was inspired by the hawaiin culture to try to come up with a new pattern. i'll kepp you posted on that.
the holidays are really kickin' my butt and i'm not even in the spirit this year. sorry that i haven't been updatin' the blog lately. i hope that'll change very soon!!!!!!
i've been so swamped. it looks like it's gonna be this way thru to march. so i'm squeezing in knitting when i can. i leave tomorrow for hawaii. my runners are doing the marathon on sunday and i'm going over to be the cheering coach. two five hour flights means a whole lotta knittin'!!!!! i need to catch up on my christmas gifts. so when i get back, I PROMISE TO POST A WHOLE BUNCH O' PICS!!!!!
in know i know. i owe many pics of ponchos and mini leg warmers. i just haven't gotten around to taking any new pictures. not much knitting either, but a little here and there.
i pr'd (personal record) in the half marathon yesterday!!! who knew??? i had had a seriously stressful day all day saturday on my feet the whole day, and when i woke up sunday morning, it was raining. i didn't even want to get outta bed let alone run a half marathon. so i overslept, ate a horrible breakfast and flew out the door. i don't know what came over me, but the weather was right (it stopped raining just after the start), and i just felt strong the whole way. and it was uphill for a good 3 miles!!!!! just goes to show that i should always get outta bed even when i don't want to.
You are DNA. You're a smart person, and you appear incredibly complex to people who don't know you. You're incomparably full of information, and most of it is useless.
hi y'all. sorry to leave you all with that cliffhanger and then not give you the lowdown. while i was able to cook two dishes in time for the thanksgiving festivities, i simply ran out of time to finish the poncho. well, actually, i had plenty of time, however, upon waking up that morning, it was 77 degrees and way too hot to wear a damn poncho anyway. so i finished it by that saturday and will wear it out tonight when i go ROLLER SKATING WITH THE GALS!!!!! WOO HOOOO!!!! hopefully, i can get someone to take a shot of me wearing it. and i think i'm the only one on the planet who doesn't like leg warmers, but they'd be soooo appropriate tonight. i've made some shorter ones that i like to call ankle biters, but they really won't work tonight either. what's a girl to do????? thanks to all the new readers whove been leaving messages. i hope to get to read all your blogs soon too. come back for photo updates soon, i promise.
in the meantime, for your reading pleasure, check out the internet is shit. aside from the blatant diss to us bloggers, it's really kinda funny.....

...owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?
i've thought about this one before. i'd call the restaurant "whateva's cleva" and change the menu every day with all my favorites including, mexican, indian, soul food, veggie friendly, etc.
...owned a small store, what kind of merchandise would you sell?
yarn, duh!!!!!
...wrote a book, what genre would it be?
biographies are my favorite, but i can't imagine that my own would be a top seller. probably a crime story.
...ran a school, what would you teach?
tolerance
...recorded an album, what kind of music would be on it?
oh, again, that's a difficult one. i'm a musical schizophrenic. some punk, some funk, some metal, some rap, and at least one sappy love song
