well if my posting record is any indication, it might be time to scrap the blog. one post a month with no photos is not like me. pretty pathetic, actually. honestly, after the accident, my priorities just changed. i'm done with physical therapy and back to training harder than ever for the new york marathon having also lost 30 POUNDS SINCE MARCH!!!! the running doesn't come without pain, but it's becoming manageable. i don't know if i'll ever be 100 percent again. coaching has been great. my runners are up to 17 miles and getting ready for the marathon in honolulu in december. they're a truly inspiring bunch of people, and i love watching their confidence build as they get higher in the mileage.
i've also been pretty preoccupied with the election. i spent labor day weekend driving to arizona to canvas neighborhoods and work on voter registation in phoenix. i just can't sit and do nothing. my vote alone will mean nothing hear in california, so i gotta get out to the swing states and put in some more work. the stakes are just too high!!!!! the polls drive me crazy.i can't pay attention to them or i get discouraged. i think they have too much influence on voter turnout too. i mean, nobody has ever polled me. who are they polling??? hopefully the debates will light a fire under everbody's asses!!!!!
it's also been so friggin' hot that i just don't want to knit one sticth. today is cooler though, and i have been checking out the last rebecca book online and toying with the idea of a fall sweater. i've been so broke that buying yarn is not even on the list of luxuries, so i'd have to find something from the stash that'll work. and believe me, there's plenty of it. someone light a candle for me. this hollywierdo may be making a comeback!!!!!!

...owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?
i've thought about this one before. i'd call the restaurant "whateva's cleva" and change the menu every day with all my favorites including, mexican, indian, soul food, veggie friendly, etc.
...owned a small store, what kind of merchandise would you sell?
yarn, duh!!!!!
...wrote a book, what genre would it be?
biographies are my favorite, but i can't imagine that my own would be a top seller. probably a crime story.
...ran a school, what would you teach?
tolerance
...recorded an album, what kind of music would be on it?
oh, again, that's a difficult one. i'm a musical schizophrenic. some punk, some funk, some metal, some rap, and at least one sappy love song
how come this little pixie never looks like me????
