the boatneck shell knit along, a.k.a. "the eggplant asymmetrique"
the knit along is a great support group!!! this is the project we're working on right now, the bns.
starting out on the back side using crystal palace cotton flamme in "eggplant". it has a slight slub (thick/thin) to it.
just about done with the armhole decreases when i realized i was two inches too long!!!!! i'm following the pattern, so where did i go wrong?? oh, well. time to frog.
the slub in the yarn makes the knit side (rs) stitches look uneven and sloppy.....
but i like the purl side, so i'm gonna use this on the outside of the shell.
the seam detail. i crocheted the seams inside out with a thin black cotton yarn
shoulder detail
this was my revised asymmetrical neckline. we call this the "gordon gartrelle" neckline for any of you out there who were also fans of the cosby show back in the day....
finito!!!!
